Portrayal
I create entirely with layered fabrics cut into shapes, layered and affixed onto a canvas from one to twenty layers. Designs imprinted onto cut silk shapes swirl in and out of other materials like cotton and satin creating a luminos image different from paint.

I never tire of standing back from my easel, staring at the canvas until nothing interrupts my eye, and an aura of energy flows within and around the subject, giving it a life of its own.
That is when I know my work is complete.
